🧥 THE JACKET One champion. One jacket. The champ now also picks next year's weekend location, per this weekend's vote.
🧊 THE ICE The league's standing Smirnoff sacrament. One was administered this weekend. Full report below.
👜 THE BIB Last place caddies the golf outing. Full jumpsuit. Other men's clubs. Exhibits below, courtesy of Sko's 2025 season.

Ty wins Day 1 and PJ podiums both days, taking Day 2 outright for the weekend's biggest golf check. Note the analytical tension: the man with the league's worst fantasy draft has its best golf game. A hedge, if you think about it.

The Caddy Files
Sko served his sentence in full this weekend. Documentation follows, including the custom equipment the reigning champ had printed for the occasion.

Night one: Tanner wins big at the craps table. Night two: Tanner, flush with confidence, leads the entire group back to the same table, where everyone proceeds to lose their money. Leadership. Elsewhere, Pelan fought roulette in two formats and lost both, and John T pulled a slot at random and walked away with $600, which remains the most efficient financial decision anyone made all weekend.

Ice Report
THE WEEKEND'S ONLY ICE, SELF-ADMINISTERED, 8% ABV, FAIRWAY CONDITIONS.
Total Ices administered this weekend: one. It was an 8% Smirnoff Smash, because downtown Mayetta has exactly one liquor store and nobody planned this part well. The recipient was Craig. The offense was nothing. He did it on one knee in the middle of the fairway, unprompted, just because. Witness in the cart declined to intervene.
PART II · THE DRAFT
League Business: The Votes
Buy-in rises to $250 next season
The extra $50 funds additional payouts, still to be determined. Champ's dues unchanged.
Median scoring approved
The big one. Every week you now also play against the league median. High-floor rosters just got paid; boom-bust rosters now eat losses on their bust weeks twice.
Champ picks next year's weekend location
And, by explicit rider, Craig does not get to plan it.
Kickers survive
Ty moved to abolish the position. The motion received zero votes.

Draft Recap: How the Money Moved
All twelve budgets were spent to the felt: $2,400 in, $2,400 out, with two teams leaving $2 to $3 behind. The market had one clear personality trait: it paid elite running backs $9 to $20 over consensus and let elite receivers go at or under sticker. The teams that noticed pocketed the difference. The teams that didn't are listed under RICH below.
STEAL
Jayden Daniels, $6 (Ethan)
A top-5 QB at backup money. The single best price in the auction.
STEAL
Saquon Barkley, $41 (Craig)
The only elite RB to sell UNDER consensus in a room paying RB premiums all night.
STEAL
Ashton Jeanty, $35 (PJ)
Roughly $8 under sticker for a second-year stud. Cornerstone of the RB hammer.
STEAL
Brian Thomas Jr., $14 (Will)
Proven target monster at WR3 money. The champ's quietest and maybe best pick.
RICH
Christian McCaffrey, $66 (Tanner)
Twenty over consensus for the draft's riskiest profile. The editor of this newsletter did this.
RICH
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, $64 (Tanner)
Same buyer, sixteen over. $130 on two players. The ceiling is real and so is the exposure.
RICH
Allen $33 + McBride $33 (John T)
A $28 combined premium to lock the QB and TE edges. The theory is fine; the register disagreed.
SWING
Malik Nabers, $25 (Sko)
Half his consensus tag, priced for the ACL rehab. Either the pick of the year or a wasted eighth of a budget.
SWING
Tyler Warren, $19 (Will)
Triple the July consensus at TE. Either the room knows about a camp breakout or that is a $13 candle.
Zero-Path Alert
Ty, champion of 2022 and 2023, has no realistic path to the jacket. Nobody over $33, a $1 quarterback, zero variance assets. Brad gets a partial flag: Bijan keeps a pulse, but every other dollar bought certainty at retail. And the counter-example that proves the rule: Sko also capped every bid under $30 and still built a top-4 ceiling, because his balance came with lottery tickets. Balance isn't the crime. Balance without variance is.
Ceiling: Healthy CMC + JSN is a ~50-point weekly head start. Highest two-player ceiling in the league. Range of outcomes: 1st through 12th, the widest in BSMB.
Floor: Lowest floor on the board. A 30-year-old RB with an injury file, backed by Tuten and Swift. One hamstring from the bib.
Pickens $33 · A.J. Brown $31 · $1 Trevor Lawrence
Ceiling: There is no ceiling case. A two-time champ (2022–23) drafted nobody over $33, a $1 QB, and zero variance. The floor is high; the ceiling is a patio umbrella.
Floor: The narrowest range of outcomes in the league: his worst case and best case are four points apart. Will win 7-8 games. Will not win the jacket.
PART III · THE OUTLOOK
The Map: Ceiling vs. Floor
Both axes are the same 0-100 season-outcome scale: ceiling is a team's best case, floor is its worst case, and the vertical gap is volatility. Median scoring (see The Votes) pays every floor on this chart and taxes every bust week twice.

The Caddy Race: Who Wears the Bib Next
Last place carries the bag. Preseason odds, updated weekly once the Desk opens.
Ty+250
Two-time champ to bib-wearer would be the greatest fall in BSMB history. The dead-zone roster makes it live.
Brad+300
Built to finish 7th safely. Safe 7th has a nasty way of becoming 11th, and 11th flirts with 12th.
PJ+500
If the $2 QB room (Dart/Purdy) is unstartable by October, the RB hammer swings at air.
Tanner+600
The floor is 12. If CMC's soft tissue files a grievance, the editor becomes the caddy.
Sko+1400
The defending caddy is the LEAST likely repeat on the board. Deepest roster in the league. The bib is moving.

The Trade Desk: Deals Waiting To Happen
Ty and PJ: The Obvious One
Ty's WR surplus (Higgins or Odunze) for PJ's third RB (Chase Brown or Jeanty). Ty buys a ceiling; PJ escapes the WR desert. Both grades jump a letter if this happens before Week 4.
Tanner and Brad: The Break-Glass Plan
If CMC wobbles, Brad has RB floor pieces (Montgomery, Walker) and desperately needs ceiling. JSN is the break-glass asset, not the plan.
Ethan and John T: The QB Arbitrage
Ethan starts a $6 Daniels; John T paid $33 for Allen. If John T ever needs a WR, Ethan should ask for the moon and settle for a planet.

Colophon & honesty note: Draft grades, ceiling/floor scores, and odds are the newsletter's own estimates built from the actual auction prices against a July 2026 consensus $200 PPR board, not sourced projections. Golf results, vote outcomes, casino events, and the Ice Report are as reported from the weekend. Extra uncertainty flagged on Nabers (post-ACL) and the 2026 rookie class.
